NYO Aims for State

By Cliff Anderson

Native Youth Olympics is under way at Mt. Edgecumbe High School. We have twenty five hard working, focused, & goal oriented students. The team goal is to win the 1st NYO State Championship for Mt. Edgecombe. A goal of some of our athletes is to break the state record in their discipline, a goal one athlete has already accomplished in practice. Our athlete’s parents should be very proud for what these students have and will accomplish. As their coach, I certainly am!
Tryouts for the State team are April 3rd. Students are welcome to come and cheer on their friends as they attempt to make the team to represent MEHS in Anchorage. (Coach Anderson)
