Author Ernestine Hayes, visited MEHS in November 2017. Ernestine Hayes is an Alaska Indigenous writer and author of "The Blond Indian" as well as other books and essays. She presented to many classes and worked directly with the senior honors English class. She encouraged students to write, write, write!
